I
think the guy being attacked is supposed to represent youngsters'
fascination with new-style music as the old generation is trying to
repress them and forcing them to listen to the guy in the background
playing piano. Though the guy in the back is a young Jerry Lee Lewis
who sees the repression and starts what is today "rock and roll,"
known to the french as "yeye."

The toy telephone is a propaganda ploy by
the telecommunications industry. The toy, a friendly telephone
with a string that can go wherever little Johnny or Susie go,
naturalizes young children to the phone company, local and long
distance carriers. The toy was developed to make the telecommunications
industry more acceptable to the next generation. When they call
in the middle of dinner to this next generation who has grown
up with the friendly phone toy, they will be more than happy to
switch long distance carriers.

[This picture] is obviously a commentary
on how society and the media attack the general public with the
idea that one must drink alcohol to fit in.

eggs in one basket, just look one basket and all your eggs, it's
